SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities Monday released the name of the 38-year-old homeless man killed by an unidentified assailant in the Marina area. Madhav Gupta was found dead from traumatic injuries to his upper body in the 600 block of Third Avenue about 8:30 a.m. Sept. 2, according to San Diego police. Details on the type of fatal wounds Gupta suffered have been withheld, and no suspects in the case have been publicly identified. "The investigation continues, and detectives are collecting evidence and attempting to locate witnesses," Lt. Andra Brown said Monday afternoon. — City News Service
