SAN JACINTO, CA — The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau has identified the victim of a fatal San Jacinto vehicle crash as that of a Palm Desert man. Dennis Hoppe, 55, died at the crash scene just after 6 a.m. Thursday on Sanderson Avenue, about a half-mile north of the Ramona Expressway, the agency reported. The crash forced the closure of Sanderson for several hours while crews investigated. Details of the crash were not released. The cause remains under investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
