Girl who took forever ordering a pastry

Description

When you went through every baked good on the menu asking if it was vegan or not I thought walking into that Peet's was a huge mistake. But then you turned around and all was forgiven. As long as I can look at your face, I'll listen to you ask about vegan, gluten, GMO, MSG, and other dietary restrictions until the non-dairy cows come home. You thought my coffee was yours when they brought it out and when you reached for it, I again momentarily hated you. But the way you said "thanks" when I held the door for you as we exited made me forgive you all over again and imagine what our kids would look like. We stood at the corner waiting for the light to change and I wracked my brain for something clever to say but only the words "vegan," "coffee," and "mine" came to me. Neither of us were on our phones when we were waiting for our coffees - the only explanation for behavior that strange is that we were both waiting for the other to say something. I'm the guy so it's on me. Dropped the ball. Let me right this wrong.
