Paying people to stay home

My wife and I went out for dinner the other night. There was a waitress we recognized from a different restaurant that was working there. She recognized us and said 'how are you two? It's been a long time.' I said it must feel good to get back to work and get back to normal. She said "not really. I got paid a lot of money to stay at home." Then she said; "I know the "extra" unemployment is going to end soon and some of the other waitresses I know that have been collecting for the last year and a half would be looking for jobs when their benefits ran out, so I wanted to get ahead of them when the benefits run out" She added "if I could, I'd keep collecting, I'd never go back to work. " --- Of course.... She's a millennial living at home with her parents. I'd guess she was in her mid 20's. She said she knew there were millions of jobs available across the country but people her age have been enjoying their freedom from working. This is a bad situation: The youngest and healthiest people in our American workforce are staying home, because the government is paying them too well. Joe Biden recently BRAGGED that 900,000 jobs were added in one month. Joe Biden failed to mention that 4 MILLION people QUIT their jobs in that same month, so they could suck up the unemployment "stimulus" I'm really glad those extra unemployment benefits are ending and I hope they never start up that program again. That 'unemployment stimulus' was probably one of the worst ideas ever to come out of DC. But it was great for the Socialist/Communists.
