Description
Our Slightly Delayed Birthday Party Plan for the Weekend: Friday Night: For the people flying in, we don't want you to have to worry about dinner or being social on Friday night. If you would like, we will be having a spaghetti feed at our place, come on by and have dinner on us as well as meet some of the other people who flew in as well, we should be having people at our place from 6pm -10pm please come by whenever is easiest. Also obviously if you are a local and want to stop by for wine and spaghetti that is fine as well! Our address is: 600 Stanyan Street,Apt 209San Francisco, CA, 94117 Saturday: Bike Ride: Firstly, if you don't have a bicycle to ride, stop what your doing and rent one from Sports Basement right here (if one does this on a tandem or this absolute monstrosity it will make our day), seriously don't be that person who shows up to a bike ride and realizes they don't have a bike. This has happened before... 12:30 PM- Everyone meets in the Presidio Sports Basement Parking lot, this is a public lot so feel free to park your cars here for the rest of the day. If you are renting your bike from Sports Basement please show up a little bit early to pick up your bike/helmet etc. Also, this is a time for everyone to mill about, say hi to everyone, and for us to brief everyone on where they need to go! 1:00 PM- We start bike riding across the bridge, this should be a super fun, easy, and gorgeous route where you can see the Golden Gate in all its glory. This is a five-mile bike, so we are expecting it to take us 45ish minutes to get across the bridge to Cavallo Point. 1:45- 4:00- We will drive across the day before and bring an array of picnic gear, blankets, beer/wine, snacks, and park games for everyone to enjoy. There is also the Farley Bar which serves great cocktails and the Presidio Yacht Club (which has tax-free beers!) if you would like to purchase anything else. We hope everyone will be able to have some food, look out over the Bay and enjoy some great music. Because the entire resort is located on Federal Land you are allowed to drink in public and enjoy yourself. 4ish- We are hoping to get everyone back on their bikes and heading back across the bridge by 4:00 PM so that we can get our before it gets too cold as well as hopefully see the sun begin to set over the Pacific. We will be going back by a very similar route to the way we went across the first time, only we will be ending at the West Bluffs Picnic Area instead. 4:45 PM- We are sure everyone will be hungry so we were planning on ending the day with a BBQ at the West Bluffs Picnic Area. We will set up the grill for anyone who is hungry, those who rented bikes can return them to Sports Basement, we can watch the sunset, drink the last of the beer, and those who would like to start their Saturday nights can begin heading out. We plan on being here until the sun sets or the last person heads out for their fun night (as we are officially old we will most likely be spending the night with our cat...). Sunday Hang Over Sunday 11:00 AM -2:00 PM: This is once again for the Outa-Towners (or Locals who aren't sick of everyone) so you don't need to worry about lunch or being social the next day! Emma and I will be by our home in front of Hippy Hill, we will have some snacks, Gatorade, and other foods for people to relax and listen to the drum circle that surely be going by then. While you are there, you can check out the Haight one of the most fun districts in San Francisco, see what a bunch of burned-out Hippies look like, and check out Golden Gate Park as well! Please RSVP by October 1st so that we can plan appropriately.
