Seeking skilled and unskilled landscape workers for Sacramento based ecological landscape company. 25 hours per week max, sometimes less.. $16 - $25 DOE Women are encouraged to apply. General Workers: Moving materials: mulch, stone and soil. Digging, hauling, spreading, grasping, stooping, carrying and crouching. Skilled Workers: Experience in many aspects of landscaping, including pruning, precise weeding, installation of flagstone, installation of irrigation valves and drip systems. Knowledge and experience of tools, as well as equipment safety. Construction and grading skills. Experience operating heavy equipment like trenchers, loaders, skid steer a plus. We are a Sacramento based landscape company specializing in sustainable, non-toxic, river-friendly practices, including some or all of the following: lawn removal, sheet mulching, drip irrigation, clearing overgrowth, planting and hardscape. We offer complete installation from our designs or independent designers, specializing in California native host plants and permaculture methods. Drafting and estimating skills are a plus. Resume and experience required. All employees must have a clean driving record, own a reliable car and a cell phone, always charged. To be dependable, hard-working, efficient team players, able to follow directions, work with others. Courteous and responsible. Ability to effectively understand and communicate with manager and crew members Valid CDL At least 1 year of verifiable work experience. Must be physically able to work in the year-around outdoor environment preforming manual labor. Must be legal to work in the US without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Drug screen. Must be willing to consent to background check. Crew Leaders must have previous supervisory experience in landscaping. Residential Maintenance Workers: For our clients, performing scheduled monthly or bi-weekly maintenance, utilizing green methods, hand tools, rakes and brooms. This position requires owning a car or truck, in good condition. Advancement to JOB Supervisor: Based upon your experience, quality of work and ability to cooperate with other workers, you will manage crews at a job site. Working with your senior supervisor, to understand the goals for the day and finished project, all methods and procedures. Keep daily work log of workers, hours, expenses, progress or delay.
