46 New COVID-19 Cases Reported At Round Rock ISD

ROUND ROCK, TX — Round Rock ISD has reported 46 new coronavirus cases and 330 new close contacts as of Thursday. Of those cases, 43 are students and three are employees. In total, the district has reported 298 total positive cases and 3,114 total close contact cases, according to RRISD's COVID-19 dashboard. The data reports 25 new cases are elementary school students, six cases are middle school students and 12 cases are high school students. These are the positive cases reported Aug. 26: 1 student from Berkman Elementary, 4 students from Brushy Creek Elementary, 1 student from Caldwell Heights Elementary, 1 student from Callison Elementary,1 student from Canyon Vista Middle, 1 student from Cedar Ridge High, 2 students from Deep Wood Elementary, 7 students from Double File Trail Elementary, 1 student from England Elementary 2 students and 2 employees from Fern Bluff Elementary1 student from Forest North Elementary1 student from Great Oaks Elementary3 students from Hernandez Middle1 student from Hopewell Middle1 student from Jollyville Elementary1 student from Redbud Elementary1 student from Ridgeview Middle1 employee from Rock Rock Opportunity Center2 students from Round Rock High9 students from Stony Point High2 students from Teravista ElementaryParents and staff may receive notification of new positive cases at their campus that are not yet noted on the dashboard because investigations to identify close contacts are still taking place. Once all close contacts are identified and contacted, the information is submitted to upload to the dashboard. Therefore, data may lag by a day or more, officials said.
