There's so much you have wrong so much you don't know that your opinion is forgiven. Over the course of the past years more than 60,000 Afghan soldiers have died fighting the Taliban and 31,000 civilians so you're absolutely wrong to say they weren't willing to fight. Our military trained them to fight with the close air support we provided and now pulled away because of our withdrawal which was a major component of their strategy. To answer your next question no, we didn't train their Air Force to do this job. Our intelligence has seen Taliban troop and supply movement for months entering from Pakistan & Iran and we didn't slow it down or blow it up when we could have done it easily, that was our job through our military and we abandoned the Afghans on this. It's no surprise the remaining Afghan troops gave up because they knew we no longer cared and had their backs. Bush was 100% correct to go into Afghanistan because the Taliban gave Al Qaeda the space to operate from what went wrong was we got involved in nation building. Biden was told and it was made crystal clear by our intelligence agencies and military how the Taliban was advancing and he didn't care just as in the 70's he didn't care about Viet Nam and all those Vietnamese who helped us. Biden could have sent our Army attack helicopters and jets to destroy Taliban supply and troop movement so what happened now couldn't have happened but he didn't, that's his failure. The first rule in pulling out troops from a combat mission is first removing all supporting logistics in this case civilians, Biden abandoned them and still is, second remove our diplomatic core and lastly once this is accomplished our troops. Knowing how weak the Afghan military was he should have removed advanced weapons he left behind that the Taliban now has. Biden did this backasswards and our innocent civilians and Afghanis friends are paying the price. Biden has disgraced our country and all of us, made us look like bumbling fools begging the Taliban for allowing people to leave, Congress should censure hm for this catastrophe of his making. There are many thousands of Americans we really don't know how many and we have no idea what the Taliban will do to some of them, you are a cheerleader for this idiot of a President who's latest decision proves every foreign policy he's supported has been wrong. America has spent 20 years training and arming the Afghan people to defend themselves and their own nation. Afghanis are CHOOSING to not fight. Afghanis are CHOOSING to not protect their own country. The Afghanis are screwing our military over by not fighting for their own freedom. George Bush started this senseless war under false pretenses. We have been forced to protect people who are UNWILLING to protect themselves for over 20 years. Thew afghanis should have had our backs while we pulled out. They did not. So Biden and the military are adapting. Adapting to changes in a situation are a part of every war. No military procedure of this magnitude goes exactly as planned. The bottom line is, no Americans will be harmed during this extraction. That is a victory in my opinion. I stand behind our president and fully respect his decision to remove Americans from this senseless war.
