Marin Firefighters Make Quick Work Of Mount Tam Blaze

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Firefighters on Wednesday afternoon made quick work of a blaze in rugged terrain near Mount Tamalpais East Peak according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office. Crews have stopped the 1.5-acre Ridgecrest fire's forward progress but are advising the public to avoid the area "while crews work to ensure the fire is mopped up" according to the Sheriff's Office. A vehicle fire ignited the blaze according to the Mill Valley Police Department.
