It’s a mom and child skate date! Meet other local single moms and spend some quality time with your kiddos! Moms and kids love to skate, so we are headed back to Roller King! Single Mom Strong's Mother & Child events are designed to provide opportunities for our mothers and children to spend quality time together at affordable rates! Roller King, in partnership with Single Mom Strong, offers this fun event every year for our families. Meet some local single moms and spend some quality time with your child(ren). We will meet in the lobby area, outside of the ticket window at 10am. Please arrive no later than 10:05. Mom must register and stay with her children in the Roller Rink, whether or not she skates. Statistics shows that children of single mothers suffer in a variety of ways and the mothers often find themselves living in poverty and riddled with guilt or frustration. But, we are here to change the statistics.  We believe that single mothers and their children do not have to be negatively impacted by this circumstance. In fact, being "single-mom-strong: having grit and determination; refusing to fail", is not detrimental at all... Single Mom Strong exists for the empowerment of single mothers and their children through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.  Funds raised are used to advance our mission. It is the mission of Single Mom Strong to create a community of single mothers and children in support of one another, while empowering them to be their best selves, through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.
