Description
Have you ever stepped in to stop workplace discrimination or harassment? Would you be willing to sit for a documentary-style interview about your true story, and allow short clips of your interview to appear in an upcoming business training course?
About Us: We are an established (35-year plus) workplace training company looking for personal stories about efforts to stop harassment and discrimination in the workplace. We believe that “Bystander Intervention” is one of the best ways to put an end to this kind of unwelcome behavior.
Our Goal: We need to find a Bystander who had the integrity and courage to step up and intervene in the face of unfairness, bias or other mistreatment of a colleague or coworker based on a “protected characteristic.” We are especially interested in those who have “recognized their privilege” and used it in defense of others. This person would serve as a role model and portray the kind of behavior we hope to encourage with our courses.
Our Offer: In exchange for a one-time payment of $400, we are asking for up to one hour of camera/lighting setup, up to 1-1/2 hours for filming, plus a signed release for participation and story. We would also require one 15-minute live online preliminary interview for finalists before selection. Due to Covid safety concerns, the interviewee would be responsible for their own hair/makeup/wardrobe and the filming will be done by our director working alone. (Our production team will participate remotely.) We prefer to do the filming in the SF Bay Area but other options may be considered.
Contact: Please send an email through Craigslist along with a recent photo and a short paragraph telling us, in a nutshell, what happened and what you did to make things better. Thank you.
