Our Janitorial team helps the park shining! You’re constantly on the move, leaving your shine behind as you bounce from place to place. Every day you interact with our guests and keep everything looking great. From sweeping the midway and boardwalk to refreshing the restrooms and greeting the guests, you’ll be right in the center of the action and help keep everything in immaculate shape. Emptying/cleaning out trash and bins throughout the park, including offices and restaurants. Operating the trash compactor with proper training. Sweeping the park of trash and debris. Quickly respond to food, liquid, and hazardous spills. Use chemicals to clean the park and restrooms. Greet and assist guests with information about the park in a positive and friendly manner Housemen Job Duties: Support the successful execution of external and internal events Understand and execute each event’s setup and breakdown needs (tables, chairs, A/V, bars,etc.) Load and unload supplies and materials, as needed and as directed by the management team. Transport materials for delivery, set up, and takedown at off-site locations as needed. Ensure equipment is in full working order and report any defects Assist with the assembly/disassembly of stages, dance floor, decorator set ups, etc. according to guidelines and specified requirements received from supervisor. Ensure your surroundings in the function room are properly cleaned, vacuumed, light bulbs functioning, no stains on the wall, etc. Work with the Special Events Manager to ensure the needs and requests of clients are met throughout the event Maintain cleanliness of all of the Coaster Terrace and event areas to meet established cleanliness and quality standards Clean and maintain event equipment Bring any deficiencies that you are unable to correct yourself to the attention of a Captain or Manager. Anticipate and solve on-site technical, creative and timeline issues in conjunction with management to meet deadlines Manage the set up relating to Food and Beverage functions in a timely manner Comply with park security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation Performing other duties as needed Job Requirements: Able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and holidays. May work early mornings, as early as 6:00 am and as late at 1:00 am. Will carry a radio and must be willing to conform to company policies and grooming standards. Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities: Able to work in a fast-paced working environment Able to follow written and verbal direction. Able to work closely with other team members. Able to maintain high safety and operating standards. Able to prioritize workload. Able to represent the company to guests and employees. Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Physical Requirements: Able to stand/walk up to eight hours at a time Able to lift up to 40 lbs. Able to move equipment which would include pushing, pulling, stooping and shoving. Able to work outdoors. Able to work in a noisy environment. Must have bi-manual dexterity.
