Public's Help Sought After Young Palm Desert Man Disappears

PALM DESERT, CA — A 22-year-old man who suffers from medical conditions disappeared around 12 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Desert, and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in finding him. Eliezer Chaim Kraiman was last seen in the 150 block of Gran Via. The sheriff's department made the public announcement around 1 p.m. Wednesday. He is described as 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes, and may be wearing a purple shirt, red sweat pants, black shoes, and an orange backpack. According to the sheriff's department, Kraiman functions on the level of a 15-year-old and becomes easily disoriented or confused. The young man's disappearance comes amid an excessive heat warning in the Coachella Valley. Temperatures were forecast to exceed 120 degrees Wednesday. Anyone who might have information about his whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's dispatch at 760-836-3215.
