Sam's Green Paw is looking for an ENERGETIC DOG LOVER to join our team! Under the direction of the Operations Manager of Sam’s Green Paw, the employee assigned to the position identified above serves as primary public contact for all aspects of Sam’s Green Paw services. Duties and responsibilities include the following: • Provide prompt, courteous customer assistance over the telephone and in person. Strive to provide exceptional customer service. Handle complaints or problems promptly and politely. • Provide clear explanations to customers requesting information on any services provided; e.g., daycare/boarding procedures and grooming procedures. • Schedule appointments for all services. • Process all payment transactions; e.g., process credit card transactions, give change if necessary for cash transactions. • Know the various dog breeds and traditional haircuts for specific breeds. • Accurately provide suggestions and explanations to customer inquiries regarding haircuts and proper grooming while NEVER giving nor offering any veterinary care advice, even if requested by a customer. • Follow established procedures when opening and closing the front office. • File paperwork in the appropriate location within specified time frames. • Walk dogs when necessary. • Be confident in handling and caring for dogs arriving or leaving the facility. • Come to work in proper and safe attire, which includes long pants, Company shirt, and closed-toe shoes. Requirements • Possess basic computer skills. • Become proficient in the use of applicable software (e.g., Kennel Connection). • Adhere to all policies and procedures established by the Company. • Act in an ethical, honest and professional manner. • Personal grooming: Maintain a well kempt, clean look.
