Santa Clara furniture store is contracting owner-operator delivery drivers that have a van, box truck or otherwise suitable vehicle for furniture deliveries. Submit your application at The work: - Pull furniture from the Santa Clara warehouse. You may disassemble if necessary. - Shrink wrap to protect (wrap rolls provided) - Pad and strap furniture as needed in delivery vehicle - Deliver to customer addresses based on route provided by Tribe - Obtain delivery signature from customer upon inspection of delivered items The pay: - $2 / mile* - $75 minimum pay per day worked, regardless of distance - $100 extra for white glove delivery (inside the home) - Payments processed via direct deposit once a week, posting on Friday for the jobs done the week prior. Requirements: - 100% reliability - Handling the furniture with care. All furniture is photographed and any damage is noted prior to pickup. Driver is responsible for all damages incurred during transit or during extraction from the warehouse. - Tax ID (can be SSN, EIN or ITIN) - Two movers if white glove delivery is involved at any of the stops The schedule: - Flexible schedule, take only the jobs that you want. Taking more jobs will rank you higher and you will receive requests before everyone else. - Most deliveries involve 3 or 4 stops / day - Average delivery is 3 furniture items / address - Maximum delivery distance is 60 miles from zip code 95054 in Santa Clara. * Route is pre-planned by Tribe using Google Maps and miles are calculated one way from stop to stop. Traffic conditions vary, you may choose your own route however the pay will be for the original distance calculation. Remember to bring your valid driver's license, tax ID ( can be SSN, EIN or ITIN) and the vehicle you will be using.
