Sneakertopia museum is an 18,000 square foot immersive sneaker culture experience. Exhibiting art and sneakers with augmented reality, we provide a magical and unique art and sneaker appreciative experience to every visitor. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION (S) Job Title #1: Assistant Sneaker Associate Manager As the assistant manager, this role requires a high quality time management and leadership skillset. This position is expected, but is not limited to, staff training, overseeing floor associates, and maintaining proper workflow within the department. Along with assisting management with day-to-day responsibilities, this person will also possess sneaker culture knowledge of exclusive sneaker drops and streetwear brands. Genuine enjoyment of interacting with people which will include touring guests during operation. This position may also be responsible for processing customer sales, returns, and inquiries within the gift shop and requires fast-paced, high-energy, and positive customer engagement at all times. Job Title #2: Sneaker Associate & Tour Guide As a direct representative of the company, these roles require sneaker culture knowledge of exclusive sneaker drops and streetwear brands. Genuine enjoyment of interacting with people which will include touring guests during operation. This position is also responsible for processing customer sales, returns, and inquiries within the gift shop and requires fast-paced, high-energy, and positive customer engagement at all times. POSITION(S) QUALIFICATIONS Sneaker culture and knowledge Tentative hours of operation and available shifts are to be discussed Private parties and special events allow opportunity for extra hours at special hourly rates Flexible on late night and weekend work shifts aligned with museum operating hours Must be available to work at least 3 days in a week Must be able to stand between 4-6 hours consecutively Academic credits can be provided Available shifts and compensation: Starting at $15.00/hour ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintaining a positive customer experience Managing opening and closing operations of entertainment electronics Guide guests using outlined scripts while personalizing the presentation and experience Entertain guests by assisting and encouraging them to take photos Demonstrates knowledge of products, current exhibitions and museum policies Manage store inventory and restocks Scanning and process sales transactions via cash, debit, credit and ApplePay Answer desk calls and customer questions about products or services DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Sneaker culture and knowledge Active Listening Skills and Communication Positive Attitude Teamwork Dependability and Flexibility Cross Selling / Up-Selling POS cash register and Bar Code Reader Equipment Desktop Calculator, Computers, and Magnetic Stripe Readers and Encoders REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Criminal Background Check Sneaker culture and knowledge required 1-2 years Customer Service experience 1-2 years Retail experience High School Diploma COVID POLICY: All staff and guests are required to wear a face mask covering at all times. Common surfaces and products are sanitized regularly during operating hours. All employees are required to be fully vaccinated and tested for clearance prior to start date.
