Press release from the City of Sugar Land: July 29, 2021 The northbound lanes of Grand Parkway near New Territory Blvd will be closed beginning Thursday, August 5 at 8:00 p.m. through Monday, August 9 at 5:00 a.m. due to construction. The Fort Bend County Toll Road Association will be making needed repairs to the pavement in addition to replacing the tolling equipment underneath the pavement.  During the road closure, northbound traffic will be diverted off the main lanes via the New Territory exit ramp. After crossing through the New Territory intersection, traffic will return to the main lanes via the New Territory entrance ramp. Residents are asked to follow detour directions, be mindful of work crews, expect traffic delays, and when possible, avoid the area.
