Description
The Big Bend Pesticide Training Series is a week long program to provide Florida pesticide applicators exam preparation and CEUs. The Big Bend Pesticide Training Series is a week long event to provide Florida pesticide applicators an opportunity to obtain hard-to-get CEUs in various license categories and to prepare for taking the licensing exams for various FDACS categories. The trainings are held in the mornings (except for Private Ag - Monday afternoon and Aquatic - Wednesday afternoon) at the UF/IFAS Leon County Extension Office. After each training session, the exam for that category will be administered. Exams will also be proctored on Friday, August 26 for participants with an FDACS voucher. When purchasing ticket(s) to attend, be sure to choose the right category(ies) that you need for your license. Agendas for each training can be found in the description for each ticket. Light refreshments will be provided. CEUs will be provided in the following categories (other categories - LCLM, LLO - may be available pending FDACS approval): Core - 4 CEUs (487 & 482) Private Ag - 4 CEUs Natural Areas - 4 CEUs Right-of-Way - 4 CEUs Aquatic - 4 CEUs O & T - 4 CEUs The Cooperative Extension Service is a partnership between state land grant universities, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and county governments throughout the nation.
