WALNUT CREEK, CA — Trinity Center is a non-residential program serving the homeless and working poor in Walnut Creek and Central Contra Costa County. It is one of two charities in the county selected by the Travis Credit Union Foundation's COVID-19 Relief program for matching grants. The Foundation's campaign is supporting 10 community organizations in five counties in an effort to alleviate long-term economic problems brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. All donations from the general public will be matched up to $10,000 by the Travis Credit Union Foundation. The other CoCo nonprofit is Monument Crisis Center in Concord, an organization that offers nutritious food, quality resources, and referrals to low-income individuals and families to help them become stable and secure in the community. Donations can be made at tcufund.org. The deadline to receive the match is the end of the month. The other counties that will receive matching fund are Napa, Solano, Merced, and Yolo.
