On August 1st, California Prison Focus & KAGE Universal will bring pop-up protests to 15 Bay Area detention facilities that hold +15000 UNCAGE CALIFORNIA POP-UP PROTEST Bay Area TourOn Sunday, August 1, 2021, starting at 8:30 am, California Prison Focus and KAGE Universal will bring pop-up protests to 15 local Bay Area detention facilities with over 15000 holding capacity. The month of August marks the 42nd annual commemoration of Black August, a month long in memorial to fallen prison reformists and abolitionists. We kick off the month-long memorial with a one day Bay Area Caravan to 15 local Bay Area detention facilities with over 15000 holding capacity. If you believe your Bay Area tax dollars can be better spent, rather than on the Bay Area's Prison Industrial Complex, then let your voice be heard and come join our Caravan when we stop at the prison, jail, or detention facility near YOU!
