BAUTISTA has been performing since late 2002 and has evolved into one of the Bay Area's strongest original live music bands with choice covers featuring a four piece Percussion Section of conga/hand percussionist/back-up vocals, timbales/hand percussionist and bongos/hand percussionist/back-up vocals along with a smooth bass player/back-up vocals, a rythym/lead keyboardist/back-up vocals and rythym/lead guitar/lead vocals. Most band members have been in the band 10 years or more so we're hooked up. Percussion Section is highly syncopated fitting nicely with our Rythym Section forming a Hot Driving sound playing well written tunes. We perform at festivals, music in the park and private events consistently. Looking for a set drummer who knows how to be part of a Percussion Section experienced and influenced by the Bad Boys of the Jazz Fusion era, late 1960's and early 1970's music scene. If you're influenced by early Santana drummer Micheal Shrieves, Tower of Power's David Garabaldi, Steve Gadd, early Spiro Gyra, you will dig what we're doing. With the vaccine getting distributed and Covid eventually dying out event planners are hot to get things going.
