Description
ROUND ROCK, TX — Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees have approved to move high school early release days to full instruction days.
The board approved amending the 2021-2022 calendar in a July board meeting. The change will stop high school early release days scheduled at the end of each semester to full instruction.
Officials said the adjustment was made in order to meet all required operational minutes after receiving additional guidance from the Texas Education Agency.
The changes impact the four early release days, Dec. 13-16 and May 23-26, at the end of each semester for high school students. Students will now participate in a full instructional academic day on these dates, the district said.
For more information on these new changes, view the district's 2021-2022 school calendar or visit Round Rock ISD's website.
