Fuck, 2020 was brutal, and 2021 is shaping to be more of the same. Solution: let’s start a jamband! I’m a 50 yr old acoustic/electric bassist from Muscle Shoals AL, recently transplanted here after several yrs in Nashville. Besides the old school Big 3 of Dead/Panic/Phish, other influences for this project include Little Feat, Allman Brothers, JJ Cale, Mofro, North Mississippi All Stars, Billy Strings, Bob Dylan & The Band, Derek & the Dominos, The Meters and all things New Orleans, Talking Heads, a dash of Khruangbin and world music, 70’s funk, 70’s roots reggae, and the mightymighty Col. Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Rescue Unit… I would like for us to learn a handful of covers as we start out, but I really want this to be an original project above all else. All members will have creative input to help mold our sound and songwriting. This project will be built from the ground up. It is not a paying gig to start with, but I am confident it can become one.  Looking for good humans, passionate musicians and team players who are cool with putting in the work it takes to get a start up going, and who are committed to making the best music we can and to taking it as far as we can.
