Description
Located in SW Santa Rosa but for the right people I'll drive to you / meet you half way! I will be screening and interviewing potential owners. :) Algie and Ernest are two of the most gentle, affectionate, trusting, and loving cats you will ever meet! Ernest loves playing fetch, giving head-buts, and sitting on peoples' shoulders. Algie loves burrowing under blankets, fishing for belly rubs by rolling over at your feet, and being held like a baby. I have always been very gentle with them, never rough-housing them or using my hand to play with them so they LOVE humans! Because of this they have never bit or surprise-attacked anyone like some cats do. They haven't been around many children but I'm sure they'd be fine given how trusting and habituated to humans they are. They're indoor only. Very terrirotial so they don't do well with other cats. However, dogs are fine. They lived with a dog for a year and they would all chase each other and Algie would even wrestle occasionally. Though they still have their claws they have been trained to be brushed and have their nails trimmed (they both like the attention). I brush them and clip their nails every 2 weeks or so. In terms of sleeping at night they definitely prefer to sleep on the bed with their human. Born May 2014, they've been neutered and micro-chipped. Their last vet visit was June 7th and the vet said they looked great, healthy weight, teeth and all that. During that visit they recieved a FVRCP-C vaccine (feline Leukemia). Their rabies vaccine expires June 2023. INCLUDED: 4 litter boxes, a Cat Genie litter pale, a cat tree, 3 scratching posts, 2 travel carriers, a cat grass (wheatgrass) planter specifically for cats (seeds included), 2 food bowls, 1 water dish, toys, food, cat litter, hair brushes, cat nip, nail clippers, and 2 leashes and harnesses. Appearance: Algie is gray and white with tabby stripes; green eyes. Ernest is mocha color and cream with brown ears; blue eyes. They look similar but an easy way to tell them apart is their noses - Ernest has a white nose whereas Algie's is gray. Also, Algie is short or Algernon. They were named after characters in the Oscar Wilde play "The Importance of Being Ernest." It was made into a delightful movie. :) Rehoming fee: $60. All I care about is that they go to a good and loving home. I had them posted for free but someone (or some people) keeps flagging my post and I have no idea why other than maybe because they're free so I've added a rehoming fee. Anyway, I just want them to go to people who will treat them gently and give them lots of affection. I love them immensely but I can no longer give them the quality of life they deserve (moving, cost, frequent travel). I'll be interviewing potential owners to ensure they go to a good home. Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions or to schedule a virtual / in person meeting! :)
