Dallas's pretty much only carnivorous plant gallery opens for a two-day holiday weekend open house, featuring plants from around the world.
Summer is coming to a close, school is going back into session, and the fall work grind will soon be upon us. When looking for a few more things to do before having to go back, how about a carnivorous plant tour? The Texas Triffid Ranch, Dallas's pretty much only carnivorous plant gallery, announces its latest Carnivorous Plant Weekend for Labor Day Weekend, starting on Saturday, September 4 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and continuing on Sunday, September 5 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Weekend features carnivorous and protocarnivorous plants from around the world, including pitcher plants (Asian, North American, South American, and Australian), sundews, butterworts, bladderworts, Venus flytraps, and Australian triggerplants. As always, admission is free, and masks are mandatory. For more information, please go to http://www.texastriffidranch.com.
The Texas Triffid Ranch is Dallas’s pretty much only carnivorous plant gallery, located just east of Central Expressway and Spring Valley. Open both by appointment and for special gallery showings.
