The Jamil Dada Character Excellence Youth Awards Ceremony 2021 Event check-in at 5:30 p.m.Dinner Buffet at 6:00 p.m.The program starts promptly at 6:30 p.m.The Jamil Dada Character Excellence Youth Awards CeremonyThe Riverside County Workforce Development Board would like to invite you to join them at the Jamil Dada Character Excellence Youth Awards Ceremony. This event honors Riverside County youth who have shown exemplary character while overcoming some of life’s significant challenges. Many of the young people selected to receive the award have been victims of poverty, child abuse, child neglect, abandonment, homelessness, a life of crime and some have even witnessed suicide and/or murder of a family member. In spite of their tragic situations, these young people have been identified as leaders in their communities, determined to earn a high school diploma, and in pursuit of post-secondary education. The evening will include remarks from national, state and local leaders, who will be presented and inspired by the soon-to-be announced host and keynote speaker. Please stay tuned. Honorees will receive trophies, certificates from national, state and local leaders and scholarships to assist them with tuition, books, transportation, and living expenses. The price of registration includes dinner and the awards ceremony.  All net proceeds benefit the Jamil Dada Character Excellence Scholarship Fund which supports formerly disconnected youth in their pursuit of higher education. From East: Take the 60 West: Exit Frederick St. and make a left. Head South on Frederick St. Destination will be on your Right. From Downtown Riverside: Take the 91 East. Merge onto the 60 East. Exit Frederick St. and make a Right. Destination will be on your Right.   Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? It is preferred; however, you do not have to bring your printed ticket to the event.
