Central Library offers curbside service and computer use at the Galleria Ella K. Library Galleria is currently open to the public and offers computer use. Two floods in July 2020 caused significant damage to the Central Library that resulted in temporarily moving various internal operations to public floors. This has delayed our public reopening. The City of Sacramento has started repairs and we anticipate the work will be finished later this summer. We hope to welcome the public back into the building by mid-September. Del Paso Heights Library will resume curbside service in mid-July. Free grab and go Summer Meals for kids under 18 will be available for pick up on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to noon through August 6. This location is also being upgraded to create a technology hub that provides more space and room for homework help and computer access. We hope to fully reopen this location in September. The City of Sacramento is planning ADA updates to the parking lot in the fall. Ella K. McClatchy Library will begin curbside service on July 15. Space limitations prevent us from offering in-person services at this time due to social distancing requirements for employees. We hope to have an update on when we can fully reopen this location soon. Franklin Library, one of our busiest libraries, is currently open for curbside service. Now that the school library staff is on break freeing up work space to accommodate social distancing for employee safety, we hope to reopen to the public shortly and have updates to you soon. McKinley Library is currently open for curbside service and computer use. Space limitations prevent us from offering in-person services at this time due to social distancing requirements for employees. We hope to have an update on when we can fully reopen this location soon. North Sacramento-Hagginwood Library is currently offering curbside service. Free grab and go Summer Meals for kids under 18 will be available for pick up on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to noon through August 6. Space limitations prevent us from offering in-person services at this time due to social distancing requirements for employees. We hope to have an update on when we can fully reopen this location soon. Orangevale Library is wrapping up a year-long expansion, which will double this location's footprint.
