Join us! FREE Workshop will have a Panel discussion including Minority Mental Health Professionals from the LA area! Free Minority mental health professionals panel discussion We at the MPN strive to reduce the stigma regarding mental health in minority communities and provide a space for minority communities to discuss mental health in a culturally competent and nurturing environment. To that end, we would like to invite you to be a panelist for our upcoming event on July 31st at 2pm PST: Regaining Trust: Helping Minority Communities Regain Trust in the Psychological Field. In celebration of Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, we are hosting an event that will center on minority communities’ experiences with mental health and psycho-educational our attendees on the myths of mental health and why mental health care is just as important as physical health. We will have breakout sessions wherein those in attendance will be able to interact with our panelists in a more intimate setting. Panelists are encouraged to use the breakout time as they see fit (e.g., you could provide a presentation or a short talk). The goal of this event is to let those in attendance know that it is okay to have mental health challenges and that getting help for those challenges does not mean that they are less than. We hope that you will aid us in our effort to eliminate mental health stigma! Western Ave. Once you park - you can walk around the corner to the Santa Monica entrance (the Western entrance is closed) - we are on the second floor. There is elevator access. There is also some street parking in the area, but it can be tricky.
