Never any preaching or proselytizing - we just drink good beer, sing the old-timey gospel hymns, AND raise money for charity!
Beer & Hymns is back! It's exactly what it sounds like - we drink good beer, sing the old-timey gospel hymns... AND raise money for charity. There's never any preaching or proselytizing, just a spirited, honky-tonk style sing-along with your friends and neighbors led by local up and comers The Western Express! Whether you sing the hymnal every week or just want to relive the nostalgia of your youth, all are welcome to join us at Krause Cafe's outdoor biergarten on Monday, August 16th from 6:30-8:30pm.
As always, we will be raising money for great local causes. Half of all proceeds go to the New Braunfels Food Bank to help local families in need. The other half supports our work with the Spiritual Transformation Project as we organize more events like this throughout Central Texas. You can give your suggested $10 donation at the door or ahead of time here on our Eventbrite page. Donations are optional, so come and sing even if you can't afford to give.
This isn't about the beer, it's about the experience, so if alcohol isn't for you, feel free to order water or soda instead. Please arrange a safe ride home if you will be drinking.
Krause's also has an extensive menu of German food available if you want to come for dinner as well. And it is family-friendly, so feel free to bring your kiddos along!
There will be song books available for everyone, but if you prefer to access it digitally, you can find the PDF here.
And be sure to "Like" the New Braunfels Beer & Hymns Facebook page to find out about all of our upcoming events.
A part of the Spiritual Transformation Project, Beer & Hymns brings neighbors together for fun, connection, and collective impact in our local communities.
