Taco Works, Inc. is looking for a Class C 28' box truck driver. Job is 30-40 hours a week, sometimes more. Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays when needed. Shift starts between 1am and 4am, depending on the delivery schedule. Deliveries include destinations as far as Richmond, Fresno, or Oxnard (this is subject to change). Wage Range: $19-$22 per hour, depending on experience. Health insurance available after two months. Vacation pay accrues after one year. Duties & Responsibilities: - Operate a Class C Bobtail to various stops within California. - Work a pre-assigned route and ensure timely deliveries of products to our customers. - Make regular pre-trip and post-trip inspections, to ensure the vehicle is always road safe, and report any problems promptly to the General Manager. - Maintain all required driving logs. - Using a forklift, driver may be required to load truck for the next day's delivery and unload any backhauled product. - Always handle our products and equipment safely and with care. - Maintain a professional and customer service oriented manner. - Driver will be delivering to and picking up from multiple locations. - Must be able to handle early morning driving hours in a safe, efficient, and responsible manner. - Must get enough sleep the night before work. - Must start the day on time. - Be able to lift/push/pull up to 60 lbs. - Shift may sometimes include overtime. Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications: - Valid Driver's License and clean DMV record. Must bring current DMV report when applying. - At least 2 years experience driving a 28'or similar sized box truck. - Delivery driving experience preferred. - Forklift certification preferred. - Good customer service and communication skills. - Good organizational skills. - Ability to work independently. - Good problem solving skills.
