Description

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — The San Diego Humane Society is reducing adoption fees for small animals this week. Adoption fees will be reduced for guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters and rats during the "all the love, half the price" promotion Tuesday through Sunday. "We currently have more than 200 guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters and rats in our care at San Diego Humane Society — and more are relying on us for help every day," said Jessica Des Lauriers, chief operating officer for the organization. "Every animal who is adopted makes space for another animal who is in urgent need of care." Starting Tuesday, adoption fees will be $15 for guinea pigs and rabbits and $5 for hamsters and rats. The promotion will run through Sunday. The San Diego Humane Society is open for walk-in adoptions on a first come, first-served basis at its campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside and San Diego.
