INDIAN WELLS, CA — An Indian Wells bank was robbed Friday, and the bandit made a clean getaway. The robbery was reported about 1:30 p.m. at a financial institution in the 74-700 block of Highway 111, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. The amount of money taken was not disclosed, and it was unclear whether the robber presented a note demanding cash or brandished a firearm and ordered a teller to hand it over. No injuries were reported. By the time deputies reached the location, the robber could not be located. Anyone with information was asked to contact the sheriff's Indian Wells station at 760-836-3215.
