Outdoor gathering for Autistic Rebel Family - East Bay. Bi-monthly outdoor gathering for East Bay ARF - recurs every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. The park is a 10-minute walk from Union City BART station. Guests must be either fully vaccinated or wear a mask. We will continue practicing distance while eating and drinking. Light refreshments will be provided. Guests are also welcome to bring their own food and beverages. This is an autism-friendly event. Attendees are not required to be autistic, we also include people with ADHD, mental health conditions and other cross-disability allies. We do ask that everyone be respectful of sensory issues, communication differences, special interests, and stims. Autistic Rebel Family is an autistic-led social club for neurodivergent adults. In-person events are being resumed with safety measures in place. All events are autism-friendly safe spaces. Attendees are not required to be autistic, we also include people with ADHD, mental health conditions and other cross-disability allies. We do ask that everyone be respectful of sensory issues, communication differences, special interests, and stims. Functioning labels, puzzle pieces, and subjects of "curing" autism are strongly discouraged here. You are welcome to talk to the organizer if you need more clarification on why these topics are offensive.
