Palmtree Clinical Research, Inc. is conducting a clinical trial with the University of California San Diego (UCSD). This trial is testing an FDA-approved injectable medication (Tesamorelin) to treat abdominal fat accumulation in patients with HIV. Abdominal fat accumulation is linked to memory and thinking difficulties, and previous studies suggest that Tesamorelin may be beneficial for cognitive function, but this has not been tested in HIV. You may qualify for this no-cost clinical trial if you: -Are at least 40 years of age or older -HIV-1 infection diagnosis -Are currently receiving a combination antiretroviral therapy (cART) regimen ≥ 12 weeks with no interruptions longer than 7 days and HIV < 500 copies/mL -Minimum abdominal waist circumference ≥ 95cm (male) or ≥ 94cm (female) -Other criteria may apply Clinical Trials.gov link: https://clinicaltrials.ucsd.edu/trial/NCT02572323
