MONROVIA, CA, — The Monrovia Unified School District's Board of Education is expected to approve a pay raise for school employees during a special meeting Tuesday morning.
If approved, district employees who are a part of the California School Employees Association, the Monrovia Association of School Administrators and Confidential/Classified Management would see a one-time 2 percent off-schedule increase a 1 percent salary increase.
Employees in the Monrovia Teachers Association are also expected to get a 2 percent off schedule increase that's retroactive to July 2020, according to a staff report. This would result in a one-time bonus of $1,533 that would be "distributed equally for all MTA full-time certified members" and prorated for part-time members.
The proposed raises would add $1.39 million to the district's operating budget for the 2020 to '21 fiscal year.
