My girlfriend and I have each spent the past 14 years living on the streets after illness hit and benefits never came. We are thrilled to have survived it both together and apart. We love our new place but we came with the clothes on our backs and little else. Neither of us has any income to speak of. Someone donated a bed and a couch, but we have no table or chairs or TV, computer or radio (its very quiet) or any other furniture. We both cook, but our total kitchen inventory is two plates one pan one fork one knife one coffee mug and a few spoons, lol, we need everything, including food, cleaning products, toilet paper and other household supplies. We love our new place but it is only the first step in getting back something resembling an actual life. We are not addicts or criminals, just people trying to start over after a very long and difficult struggle. Any help would be welcomed.
