Newsom is not the one that chose water and firefighting foam from planes to fight wildfires. The California department of forestry asked for more aircraft of this type no Newsom made it happen. The CDF asked for more trained seasonal firefighters and Newsom made this happen. The CDF asked for heave equipment support and Newsom trained the national guard to fight fires with their dozers. Furthermore- Sand is NOT more effective or more practical than water or afff foam at fighting wildfires. In order for planes and helicopters to be loaded with sand, they must land and be loaded over a period of 20 or 30 minutes. FF planes can load with water in moments without landing. This increases cycle time. This slows speed. Sand is a solution for fighting oil or solvent based chemical fires. Water and AFFF is superior for fighting wildfires. If Trump bought the air fleet that Newsom did, you would be bragging about his accomplishment. But Newsom is the one who made this happen so you whine about the accomplishment. Instead of spending your time trying to burn politicians down, why dont you find ways to build this nation up.
