Mya was rescued from a bad situation where she would have ended up in a high kill shelter. She deserves so much better than that. When we took her in we had no idea that I would be allergic! So the search continues to find her a good home. Mya is sweet and sassy! We are pretty sure she is part Jack Russell terrier from her looks and behavior. It might take her a few minutes to warm up to you, as she has dealt with a lot of insecurity the past few days. Once she does she has so much love to give! She is very playful, and would also do well with another dog as a companion after an appropriate introduction. She will happily play fetch or tug of war for hours if you let her! Mya is also a velcro puppy who likes to be close to you and will keep you company as you go about your day. She is also very smart! She knows how to use puppy pads and is also picking up how to do her business outside very fast. When she barks it is because she is startled or feeling a little insecure. We have already seen this behavior drop in just a day. Her natural state is quiet, curious, and alert. Mya is estimated to be six months old. she was weighed yesterday (10.2lb) and given flea treatment but due to the holiday weekend she has not seen a vet and her vaccination status is unknown.
