Description
I'm 39, been dabbling for a decade or so. I'm a decent musician - not a virtuoso by any means but I don't hang out on the root note either. I want to take my playing to the next level, and one of the best ways to do that it work with other musicians. I'm looking to jam, and if we click, I'm willing to join a band/group for recording and/or gigging.
I play 4- and 5-string bass, fretless bass, and I'm halfway decent on synth, too. I'm decent at recording, mixing, and mastering. I have my own gear and can bring whatever I need.
I listen to, and am interested in playing, most anything -- except most rap and most country, though there are exceptions. Blues, rock, metal, Motown, dub/reggae, noise, electronic/edm/ebm/industrial, goth/shoegaze/darkwave/synthwave... I'm pretty eclectic and can groove to most anything.
Age doesn't matter -- if you're 18 or 88, I'd like to hang out and jam and see what happens. If we have rapport, great, if we don't, well, we shake hands and part ways as new friends and fellow musicians.
Don't expect me to sing. I wish I could, and I try (when nobody can hear me), but I'm terrible at it. I damn sure can't play AND sing. Don't ask me to. You'll be disappointed and I'll be embarrassed.
I live in Quitman and work in Longview. If you're within an hour's drive of either place, let's talk!
