I need to find a new home for my male dog, Sarge. He's about 8 years old and I rescued him as a puppy. He's been overall a great dog, has a lot of energy, but is pretty good about knowing when it's time to calm down. I have a newborn baby now and need to limit any excess noise like barking and playing/rough-housing with my other smaller male dog. Sarge/Sargy loves to go on walks or just have a yard to run around in. He's a very curious/playful type of dog and has no problems meeting new people or animals. He loves meeting new friends and playing. I'd say he wouldn't hurt a fly, but he does like to try to catch flies. He's a good guard dog too, because he'll let you know if he thinks someone or something is outside. I'm not terribly thrilled to part ways with Sarge, but having a baby to take care of changes things. Plus, Sarge will forget all about me I'm sure if he finds a new family/owner/friend that will just take good care of him and give him all the love he can take. He is very affectionate, still intact/unneutered, and has been on the Banfield Proactive Health Plan for years now. He's fully vaccinated, checked up on, and has annual dental deep cleanings. His one health issue is random mild seizures that will happen maybe twice or three times a year and only last about 5-10mins. He'll just lay down, wobble a bit, and let the seizure pass. Then he's right back to being a goofball, happy dog. The vet describes him as a perma-puppy (permanent puppy). Very much like a yellow lab and we aren't sure what his breed/mix is, but he's very nice looking. Please be a serious pet owner looking to give Sarge a good life. He is primarily all white with some cream colored fur and has always been on the leaner side, but loves to eat regardless of his frame. I'm told asking for a fee is one way to help ensure the pet is going to a serious pet owner. We can talk about a fee if you're serious, but I'm not someone in need of money so let's not worry about money. This is about Sarge finding a great home.
