Based in Brooklyn since 2010, Overall Murals is expanding and seeking new talent to grow with the company. Please review recent projects at www.overallmurals.com WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: *IMMEDIATE HIRE FOR A GIG ON JUNE 1ST TO HELP RIG WITH POTENTIAL FOR MORE WORK* - Painters with experience in painting murals - Specifically seeking those who are masters of detailed hand lettering or pictorial - Experience with sign paint enamels a plus DUTIES: - Painters report to Senior Painters or Management in the field. - Responsible for exceptional artistry and maintaining safety and aesthetic quality controls, while serving as a positive representative of the company to members of the public. - Painting: Prepare patterns, color-match & mix paint, produce murals & sign painting - Light Construction: Set up scaffolding, work on ladders, lift objects up to 80 lbs, light carpentry - Painters work in teams of 2-4, year-round, and in all weather conditions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Painting Portfolio - showing advanced lettering (and photorealistic reproduction skills if you have them) - Ability to paint FAST and efficiently on tight deadlines - Physically Fit - able to stand for 4hrs at a time and safely lift objects up to 80lbs - Reliable - prompt, responsible, safety-oriented, genuine pride & pleasure in work done well - Flexible - willing to work a variety of days/hours, under tight deadlines/short notice - Fearless - mural painting some times requires working on a lift or scaffold, at great heights - Valid Driving License: Ability to operate company vehicles, need weekly graffiti surveillance and maintenance so having a car is preferred - Willing to travel out of town - Flexible schedule - able to work for up to 7 days or more at a time ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Team Player - communicative, sturdy, and naturally inclined to support your teammates - Technologically proficient - Should have possession of a smart phone.
