Description

Mondays: June 7th to July 6th 6pm PST - 9pm PST Do you love animation and are looking to learn how to create your own animated short? This workshop is aimed at beginners looking to get their feet wet in the world of animation. This will be a live synchronous workshop that teaches students the animation techniques that professionals in the industry use such as frame-by-frame, squash and stretch, storyboarding and walk cycles. The workshop will use the free, but powerful, animation program Tahoma2D. At the end of the workshop students will have produced their own animated short that can be exported and shared with others! Students will also get final tips and feedback during the last class session from professional animator Arne Wong, an industry veteran whose work includes: Tron, Tom and Jerry, CatDog, Darkwing Duck, among others. Workshops are taught online through Zoom and Canvas. Students will need a computer or smart phone with webcam and microphone, internet and web streaming capacity, and the Zoom application installed to their device.
