Description

Meet Stinky the Cat (he doesn’t actually stink). He’s a 9-year-old orange (cream) tabby with very soft fur and a unique personality. He is much more “dog-like” than the typical cat. He’s well behaved and non-destructive. He’s what they refer to as a “bush cat’ in that he prefers to be on the ground. He doesn’t really jump on anything higher than the couch or bed – no tables, counters, etc., he will climb a small cat tree though. He’s pretty smart for a cat and knows what “treat”, “food”, “no”, “up” and “down” mean. He usually won’t jump on the couch unless you tell him he can. During the day he mostly does his own thing. He’ll come lay near your feet if you’re working at a desk. If you’re relaxing on the couch, he’ll come lay beside you or across your lap. He’s a bit too big to be a lap cat in a chair though. And if you allow it, he will come sleep right beside you in bed – he’s quite a bed hog though. He played well with another male tabby we had but he doesn’t seem to care much for female cats. He not sure how he would do around a dog. He needing to find him a new home because we have a 10-month old baby and another on the way; I simply don’t have time to give Stinky any attention and my son is too rough with him. A bit more about him: He’s scared of storms. If one is coming in, he will go hide under something. He likes to go outside and he won’t leave a fenced yard. He got a urinary blockage 4 years ago, apparently it is common with male cats that are fed dry food. We feed him Hill Science Diet Urinary dry food, and at least 3-4 cans of wet food a week and haven’t had any problems. He has a microchip with the paperwork and he’s been fixed. Feel free to contact me via email or text if you’d like to setup a meeting. Rehoming fee of $20.
