JOB SUMMARY Villa Marin is currently looking for a Full-Time Medical Records Clerk/ Central Supply Clerk who will work effectively as a team member with a focus on safety and perform a variety of clerical duties in the Health Center relating to Central Supply and Medical Records. Duties include but are not limited to; ordering, stocking, and inventory of supplies for the Health Care Unit, focusing on Agency budget and cost containment. They will maintain medical records and health information systems in accordance with State and Federal guidelines while complying with Agency policy and procedures. SCHEDULE: Full-Time, 40 hours per weekMonday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pmShifts may also include some holidays as needed KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate or equivalentOne or more year’s office experience, preferably in the medical field.Patience and tact in dealing with the aged.Proficient in computer data entry Ability to operate general office equipment.Computer skills to include proficiency with PC, MS Word and Excel software applications.Working knowledge of medical terminology.Maintain compliance with HIPAA standards. REQUIREMENTS Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must meet health assessment requirements as regulated by the California Department of Social Services, including TB testing and fingerprint clearance required by Community Care Licensing through the State of California Department of Justice background check bureau. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and/or possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
