My nature, most humans are “joiners”. They like being a part of a club or group. But for the most part, only people with extreme views care about political parties. In this modern era, the vast majority of Americans will vote for the candidate that they feel best about regardless of political party affiliation. Most people lean to the right or to the left and most people are registered one way or the other but come election time, most people vote more like independent voters. They ignore their affiliation and vote with their conscience. I see this as a good thing. Blindly supporting a candidate because hero she belongs to a certain group is mindless. People voting more independently means people are not only paying attention, they are thinking for themselves. A nation of sheep, not good for America. A nation if informed independent voters, great for America.
