Able to work on your own, staying motivated to complete your daily schedule? Daily duties at each stop along your route include driving along the scheduled route to visit each account and tend to each plant (watering/trimming/cleaning) as well as assessing the overall health of each plant. Your design eye is appreciated so anything that needs extra work or any suggestions you have for improving the client's plantscape can be written up. We pride ourselves on quality care and stellar communication. Each account and route is assigned to a single Technician, who will be driving and working alone most of the time. The position can be physically demanding at times. Because of this, candidate must be able to perform varied physical tasks. Some of the physical tasks of this job include: prolonged periods of operating a motor vehicle (maximum 30 minute drive time), walking, standing and pushing/pulling carts and water tanks; grasping/use of pruners, scissors and other hand tools; carrying, lifting, filling and using water buckets; lifting, carrying and using step ladders; loading and unloading small plants, water tanks, materials and supplies into a vehicle; reaching overhead to trim and dust; crouching; bending; stooping; kneeling; loading and unloading small plants, material, supplies and other items into/out of your assigned vehicle. Your day would start with checking in at the greenhouse around 8:00am to switch your car (no public transit, sorry) for a company work van with gas provided (driving is required so you’ll need a valid drivers license). From there you head out on your scheduled route and visit each client to work some green thumb magic. Daily duties at each stop along your route include tending to each plant (properly watering, cleaning/trimming) as well as assessing the overall health of each plant. We can be flexible with scheduling so what works best for you is often what works best for us as long as the clients space is open (as early as 6am / no later than 6pm Monday-Friday). The day ends with a check out at the greenhouse – a successful day of plant fun! Hourly wage depends on experience. We perform criminal background checks. Full time employees are able to take the company vehicle home, eliminating commuting costs. Because we provide use of a company vehicle, a current Drivers License and good driving record is a must (employees must be accepted under our insurance policy). In order to take the vehicle home, candidate must have a safe area to keep the vehicle overnight.
