Hello Craigslist! I’m looking for people interested in buying whole processed chickens for their dogs. We are a family run hobby farm that has taken in many roosters over the years. Although I’ve tried many times to rehome, there is simply not a home for every rooster. Instead of euthanizing them like most rescues, we would like to put their deaths to a good cause. These boys are a bit too chewy for human consumption, but would do nicely in a soup. I’m thinking more people would want them for dogs. By supporting me you are supporting my farm. Hopefully some day we can sustainably keep more roosters, but it is a lot of work and money. Our farm is currently too crowed so this is our best option for now. Prices are negotiable, but to slaughter and process the boys i have to either pay to have it done or do it myself. For now I am asking $20 per standard size rooster. They vary in size a bit but the work/price to process is the same for me, so this is what I’m asking. Think of it as a bit of a donation to my farm. I just cant compete with factory farm prices.
