Description
We got him from the shelter. The shelter said he is about a year old. He warmed up to us instantly. He is very gentle, mellow, quite and playful. He is also wonderful with kids and other people. We are giving him up mainly because of some personal health issues.
He enjoys going out on long walks with me and my wife. He has some house training, sleeps in his crate, lounges around most of the day. He also obeys command, does sit, lay down, standup, eat, drink, up and down. We are working on come here, stop, stay and release. Some leash training, mostly walks with loose leash. We are in a condo and he sits in the balcony enjoying the view. He needs further training, German Shepherds can be trained to do advanced tasks.
He may like a house with some yard or an apartment with dog play area. He is scared of some dogs, but friendly with others, so need more training. Some prior dog experience is helpful.
