Event Rental Company based in Sonoma, California in search of an experienced Warehouse and Logistics Manager. Reports To: Owner & Production Director Category of Employment: Salary, Full-Time Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Flexible schedule must be able to work weekend and overnight trips. Must be able to travel. Essential Job Functions: This position requires an individual who is able to work in a fast-paced environment and wear many hats. We are looking for a warehouse manager who can organize our inventory and warehouse in a visually pleasing manner that makes sense logistically. In addition to organizing inventory, we are looking for someone who can keep our inventory in excellent shape and carry out repairs as needed. The position requires someone who is able to manage delivery, logistics, and warehouse staff. The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will be the lead on all deliveries and will be responsible for managing staff while onsite. Physical Requirements: Position requires moving heavy pieces of furniture and must be able to maneuver heavy items. Must be able to stand for long hours. Must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs or more. Able to work in fast-paced environments. Experience Requirements: • Minimum of high school education; additional education preferred • Minimum 5 years experience in Logistics/Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse, ideally having held a variety of positions for awareness of all functions • Minimum 2 years experience in a Manager role, managing people • Experience driving large trucks (26ft truck) • Clean driving record • Experience in the event industry is a plus but not necessary • Experience in woodworking & building Skills Required: • Hands-on work ethic • Professional and articulate, written and verbal communication skills • Excellent organizational skills; ability to multitask • Strong ability to manage priorities and workflow for optimal performance in a dynamic environment • Strong ability to provide timely feedback and supervise people effectively with expertise in labor law compliance • High proficiency with spreadsheet applications and inventory software • Inventory control expertise; both physical storage systems and processes • Ability to work under pressure to resolve complex freight issues • Capable of working cross-functionally • Solution-oriented, and approachable • Resolve shipping issues • Forklift certification • Personable • Able to work in fast pace environment • Problem solver • Strong leadership skills • Handy and able to build and repair inventory Duties are not limited to the above job description. Other duties may be assigned from time to time as the needs of the company and department dictate.
