We're looking for employees at the Santa Maria Air Tanker Base, at the Santa Maria Airport (SMX). We are a private contractor and our company loads the firefighting aircraft with fire retardant. It's an exciting job and you get to work with cool planes and great people, while being a vital part of wildland fire support. Help protect your local forests and communities! We have part time positions and call when needed positions. Longer term, management and travel positions could be available depending on experience and performance. We'll train you, and no firefighting experience is necessary. If you are interested in the firefighting or aviation industries, this is a great first step and a place to meet people. Ability to lift 50 pounds and good communication skills are required. Must be over 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma. We are a safe and drug free workplace.
